 Description: The PuriTec WH-100 system features a washable, pleated 5 micron sediment filter with a clear housing for easy viewing. Filter cartridge may be cleaned and re-used several times before needing replacement. It filters sand, sediment, silt and other suspended matter in water. In the second stage, water passes through a 10 micron 20" long carbon block cartridge specifically designed to remove chlorine over 99%, chemical contaminants (VOCs) and cancerous chlorine by-products like THMs, odors and more. A 0.5 micron carbon block cartridge is an option to also remove cysts like cryptosporidium and giardia. The carbon cartridge is recommended to be replaced on average every 6 months. Next, the water passes through NSF Certified KDF media, a combination of two dissimilar alloys, to remove chlorine over 99%, as well as filter heavy metals like lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals, and extends the life of the carbon stage. The Total Water Filtration System (TWFS) Series water treatment from PuriTec combines the long lasting and reliable filtration of KDF, with the patented RWE water conditioner. The bed of garnet clarifies your water. There is no electricity needed, no backwashing or water waste, and no routine filter maintenance. KDF-55 is an NSF Certified media inside the main tank that substantially reduces 99% of chlorine, up to 98% of lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals, and also inhibits the growth of bacteria. KDF has roughly 10 times the life of carbon for chlorine removal giving an exceptional long filtration life. The upflow design prevents water channeling for maximum filtration. The water also passes through the PuriTec RWE Hard Water Conditioner. This patented system controls the formation of scale and corrosion deposits without the use of chemicals and gives the water softer properties.
